Mini Math Labs were created as a way for students to practice their fraction skills. Each lab begins with a link to a video clip from The Educational Channel Math FAQ’s site, which is watched by the whole class or individually. Each student then received the 10 Box Worksheet. The students are instructed to write down math problems from the Interactive Math Websites on the 10 Box Worksheet, show their work, and then check their answer with the website. Here are four examples of these Mini Math Labs: Section 2.3 Multiplication of Rational Numbers Section 2.4 Dividing of Rational Numbers |

Operation Computation is a PowerPoint version of a math facts card game our students play with a regular deck of play cards. Using only the A through 10 cards a pair of card will appear on the screen. Next the player/s will add, subtract or multiply the two card in their head. Who ever says the math fact out loud first gets the point. There are 21 card problems at each of the eight levels. Give it a try by selection the mathematical operation Addition, Subtraction, or Multiplication from above. Note you will need to have PowerPoint 2003 or the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer to run these PowerPoint shows. I had trouble finding a deck of cards so, using some know how I created my own deck of Aces through 10’s. You can use these cards for a PowerPoint game of your own. |
